I don’t usually make vegan burgers, I buy them at the supermarket, but I really want to start cutting on processed food.
Vegan burgers are a challenge for me, I usually failed at getting the right texture. So the burgers will end up like a scrambled or worst.
This time I decided to go with these ingredients:
- 1cup red lentils
- 2 1⁄2cups water
- 1⁄2teaspoon salt
- 1tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2medium onion
- 1⁄2medium red and green pepper
- 1 carrot diced
- 1teaspoon pepper
- 1tablespoon soy sauce
- 3⁄4cup organic oats
- 3⁄4cup breadcrumbs with garlic and parsley
First I boil the lentils in the water and fry the onions, peppers and carrot in the olive oil.
In a bowl mix the cooked ingredients with the pepper, soy sauce, oats and bread crumbs.
Form the mixture into burgers and grill, fry or bake!


I served with with a salad with cherry, avocado, cucumber, walnuts, hemp seeds, mix of seeds, and seaweed.

I still have a lot of the mixture left, let´s see how it ends up tomorrow!
