When I made this collage many things were happening in my life. On one side, my company was moving outside of the city and that meant a huge change for me when it comes to my daily transportation.
On the other side, my brother moved to Spain, to my apartment in Barcelona. At work we needed a extra hand, so I got him a job at my company. We live and work together now. Everything goes smoothly, we get along, we have a similar personality.
When he arrived, I started making a collage. I have this amazing guide of Barcelona contemporary architecture that I found at a thrift store. When I looked at it, the feeling was literally this: “I’m building a fucking building”.
In another magazine I found the picture of Joseph Gordon Lewitt staring at the movie “The walk”. I didn’t watch the movie, but I know it’s the story about Philipe Petit, who wanted to walk the void between the World Trade Center towers. For me it was all about the feeling of giving someone a hand, that’s what it looks like in the photo, right?.
